Has our music really just become bland and repetitive?

A friend showed this to me, it really shows that all of our "hi" songs really are just the same type of thing and follow a set formula. How accurate do you think this is?

    this is hysterical. and to be honest, the beat they put together is catchier than half the stuff on the radio now.
