South Park rips apple and society....about the iPad

The link will take you to last nights new South Park about apple and how they really are becoming like Big Brother. Very clever, alot of poop jokes, nothing unusual for the creators. If you want a good laugh about how are society interacts with Apple, I suggest you take a look.

Just a little fun webcomic that reminded me of some of the themes we're studying in class, especially the dependency we seem to have toward electronic distractions.

Project Chanology

So in preparing for my facilitation tomorrow, I came across a lot of information on Church of Scientology versus Anonymous. I had no idea what this was about and was curious to learn more. YouTube Copyright School

If you upload a video with copyrighted material, you could get a "strike" on your YouTube account. This includes making mashups and remixes of original content. In order to start posting again, you have to watch this video. After answering a few questions about it, you are once again allowed to post to YouTube. If you get 3 strikes, your account will be closed forever. I wonder if DJ Earworm will get his strikes now...

Britney got it goin on...at least on social media sites

http://mashable.com/2011/04/12/britney-spears-social-offer/

I found this article that describes the "social media makeover" that Britney Spears underwent to advertise her newest album. I guess a new approach to reach out to old (and new) fans through consumer interaction sites is, to some degree, successful.
